Managing Product Listings
We make it easy to create and manage your listings through our Seller Admin. From updating inventory and making edits to uploading imagery, everything is in one convenient place. To streamline the process, we also offer a CSV upload feature for bulk product and inventory management.
Product Photography & Descriptions
Jane is all about high-quality, beautifully presented products. Clear, professional images and well-written product descriptions help drive conversions, build customer trust, and strengthen your brand. We encourage sellers to use their own high-quality images rather than stock or third-party photos, and all product descriptions should be accurate and engaging. We also encourage diversity in representation whenever possible, as our customer base is broad and inclusive.
Sales Culture & Pricing
Jane features products to a large audience expecting best-of-web pricing. To stay competitive, the Total Price (Product + Shipping) of your listings should not be higher than what you offer on your own site or other sales channels. We prioritize competitive pricing for featured products to drive sales and customer trust.
Marketing Support
Unlike many platforms that rely on paid advertising from sellers, Jane takes care of the marketing for you at no additional cost. We invest in promoting your products through email marketing, affiliates, social media, and other channels to drive traffic and sales. If your products have strong inventory, great photography, and align with current trends at competitive prices, we actively work to get them in front of our customers—helping you grow your business without extra fees.
Commission Structure
Jane takes a commission based on the total price (product price + shipping) of each sale. The rates are 20.5% for women’s, men’s, and baby & kids apparel, 18% for furniture, and 20% for all other categories.
Shipping Standards
As a seller, you are responsible for shipping orders directly to customers. Orders must be shipped within two business days in your own packaging, except for handmade or personalized items, which have up to six business days for fulfillment. To support your shipping process, we integrate with ShipStation and offer a CSV download to help streamline order fulfillment.
Getting Paid
We’ve partnered with Stripe, a trusted leader in online payment processing, to handle secure payouts. This partnership provides reliable, transparent payment processing, enhanced security, and a seamless payout experience. Payments for your orders are automatically released three business days after delivery, ensuring you receive your funds with confidence.
