Getting Started on Jane: Managing Your Orders

Efficient order management is key to providing a great experience for your customers on Jane. Here’s everything you need to know about processing, fulfilling, and tracking orders seamlessly.

Accessing Your Orders

  • Navigate to the 'Orders' tab in Seller Admin to view all incoming orders.
  • Orders will be displayed with key details such as order number, product title, customer name, or customer ID, along with order status.
  • Use filters to sort by order status (Open, Tracking Added, Shipped, Delivered, Cancelled/Returned).

Processing Orders

  • Review Order Details: Ensure all product details and customer information are correct before proceeding.
  • Order Processing Options: Connect with ShipStation, our shipping partner, or download your orders using our CSV.
  • Tracking Orders: Add tracking through ShipStation, manually in the Orders tab, or by CSV.
  • Shipping Timeframe: Once tracking has been added, orders must ship within 24 hours per our Fulfillment Policy.

Fulfilling Orders

  • Orders Must Be Fulfilled from the U.S.: Jane does not allow international shipping or fulfillment. All orders must be processed and shipped from within the United States.
  • Shipping Deadlines: All orders must ship within 2 business days, excluding handmade and/or personalized orders, which must ship within 6 business days.
  • Delayed Shipments: If delays occur, sellers should proactively communicate with the Jane Team.
  • Returns & Cancellations: Any necessary returns or cancellations should be communicated to our customer support team at support@jane.com. Any canceled orders may be subject to our non-fulfillment fee. See our Seller Playbook for more information.

Best Practices for Order Management

  • Ship on Time: Late shipments impact seller ratings and customer experience.
  • Use Reliable Packaging: Ensure products are securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.
  • Monitor Customer Inquiries: Our Customer Support team will contact you with customer inquiries. Please respond promptly to ensure a great service experience.
  • Order Fulfillment: Audit your orders to make sure your orders are moving through the fulfillment funnel from Open → Tracking Added → Shipped → Delivered. As a reminder, orders are paid out 7 days post-delivery. If you are experiencing any issues or have questions, please reach out to the Jane team.
