Products

The products tab serves as the central hub for all your product management needs. Here, you can effortlessly view, add, edit, and organize your products. It provides an overview of your entire product catalog, allowing you to easily track the total number of products at a glance. Additionally, the tab offers convenient filtering options, enabling you to sort products based on their status and swiftly locate specific items by title through the search functionality. With the products tab, you have full control and efficient access to streamline your product management tasks.

Product Statuses

  • In Progress: Product creation is incomplete and lacks the required fields for publishing. 
  • Needs Attention: Product has errors that must be addressed before publishing. 
  • Ready to List: All required fields are added, and the product is ready for publishing. 
  • Publishing: Product is being published (Note: ~20-minute window before it goes live; no edits allowed during this time).
  • Published: Product is live on the site and visible to customers.
  • Unpublishing: Product is no longer live on the site (Note: ~20-minute window before it goes live; no edits allowed during this time).
  • Refreshing: Product is being updated after editing the live version (Note: ~20-minute process; no additional edits allowed).
  • Archived: Product is no longer available for purchase.
  • Suspended: Product violates Jane's policy/brand guidelines. 

Tip: To filter the product tab by product status, click on one or multiple statuses. To clear the filter, uncheck the selected statuses. 


 

Editing Products

Once your products have been created, you can edit your product information. The status of your product will determine what product information can be edited.  

While your product is unpublished, you can make edits to all product information. If your product is published, only price and inventory can be adjusted.  

Steps: 

  1. Navigate to the Products Tab.
  2. Find the product that you want to edit. 
  3. Click the product you wish to edit and a menu will appear
  4. From the menu, select “Edit Product”. 
  5. Edit product information.
  6. Click Save.  

Note: SKU codes cannot be updated after the product has been published.

Unpublish a Product

When you unpublish a product, the listing is no longer available for purchase on Jane.com.  

Steps: 

  1. Navigate to the Products Tab.
  2. Click on the product you wish to unpublish and a menu will appear
  3. From the menu, select “Edit Product”
  4. From the product, you can click the “Unpublish” button in the top right hand corner. 
  5. After unpublishing, a modal will appear asking you to confirm your action. Once you click Yes, the product will be unpublished and removed from the site.   

Note: It takes approximately 20 minutes for the product to be unpublished.  


 

Archive a Product 

You can archive products you no longer want to sell.  

Steps: 

  1. Navigate to the Products Tab.
  2. Click the product you wish to archive, and a menu will appear.
  3. From the menu, select “Archive”.
  4. You will be asked to confirm this action by clicking “Archive” this action cannot be undone.

Note: Published products cannot be archived. You must unpublish the product before archiving.
