Best Practice: Graphic Tee Listing Setup

Screenshot 2025-02-06 at 2.40.25 PM-2

Creating a clear and user-friendly product listing is key to maximizing conversion. For graphic tees that feature the same core design with minor variations, we recommend grouping all options within a single listing. This setup not only streamlines the shopping experience but also improves listing performance by consolidating reviews, clicks, and sales.

When to Use a Single Listing

Use a multiple-option listing if the design features:
  • The same core graphic with text or minor design variations
  • A consistent graphic with different themed elements

Examples:

  • Dog graphic with breed variations
  • Sports team graphic with team name changes
  • Drink-themed graphic with different drink names
  • Floral design with various flower types

How to Set It Up in Seller Admin

Follow these steps to build your multi-option graphic tee listing efficiently:

1. Choose Variants

  • Primary Variant: Select 'Generic US'
  • Secondary Variant: Select 'Primary Color' (If all graphics are on the same shirt color, skip this and use 'Pattern' instead)

2. Add Design Options via Configurations

  • Go to the Configurations tab
  • Toggle 'Is Personalized' to ON
  • Label the custom variant something descriptive like “Design”
  • Choose 'Single Selection' for option type
  • List out all available graphic choices (e.g., Labrador, Poodle, Bulldog)

Tip: Using “Pattern” as your Secondary Variant allows you to group the graphic types more thematically if color isn’t variable.

Description Best Practices

Make sure your product description includes the following key info:

  • Make sure your product description includes the following key info:
  • Fabric Composition: e.g., “100% cotton” or fabric blend details
  • Fit Type: Describe the fit and whether it’s unisex or specific to a gender/age
  • Sizing Guidance:
    • Include a size chart image
    • Mention what size the model is wearing (if shown)
  • Care Instructions: e.g., “Machine wash cold, tumble dry low”
  • Graphic Method:
    • Vinyl transfer
    • Screen print
    • DTG (Direct to Garment)
    • Sublimation
    • Embroidery

Image Setup Tips

To ensure customers see all available design and color options, do the following:

Image Upload:

  • Upload images for each shirt color + graphic combination under:
    Images > Additional Images
  • If you’re using Configurations > Personalized, note that images can’t be tied directly to a specific selection — so clearly label each image with the design name.

Variant Images:

  • Use Variant Main Image to show the shirt color swatch
  • Use Additional Variant Image to upload a size chart

These are the first two images a customer will see when selecting options — keep them helpful and clear!

By following this structure, you’ll provide a seamless and informative experience for your shoppers — and reduce confusion for custom or variable graphic designs.

Let your creativity shine, while keeping the customer journey as smooth as possible.
